About Me

I am a Senior Virtual Design and Construction Manager based in Raleigh, North Carolina. I have a rich experience of over 20 years in construction & related fields.

Driven to Innovate.

With years of experience in construction I have mastered the skills of understanding project and team requirements according to the latest designs and methods. I have worked on projects from various sectors, and I bring that variety of experience forward to everything I work on.

I’ve spent most of these years working across different sectors of construction like airports, medical, semiconductor manufacturing, data centers, oil & gas, and steel fabrication. I am driven to innovate, and to improve. I am curious, and so I learn, I develop and I teach. I recognize pain points, bottlenecks and shortcomings, but always with the mind set of improving them. I love finding innovative solutions to issues, and often times, that innovation leads to simplification. Improve workflows, improve efficiencies. Improve efficiences, improve the bottom line.

My Skills

I believe in the fact that learning never stops and I am interested in learning new technologies and programming languages that will help me design and develop a better output in less time.

Monteith Construction

Senior Virtual Design and Construction Manager

I currently lead the VDC group at this forward-thinking mid-size general contractor, driving BIM coordination, reality capture, and construction technology strategy across a commercial project portfolio that includes education, public safety, and institutional work. Our group partners directly with project teams, owners, and SCO stakeholders to apply Scan-to-BIM, 4D sequencing, and structural verification workflows that tighten coordination and reduce field rework, while evaluating and piloting emerging tools in an environment that actively embraces sensible innovation. I build internal standards, automation, and carry out BIM specific trainings — including how VDC supports field processes directly. All that scale VDC value across the business without adding process overhead.

2022-2025

Hensel Phelps

UAS Program Manager / Virtual Design and Construction Manager

Led region-wide VDC and reality capture operations across airport, healthcare, and semiconductor manufacturing projects, scaling corporate drone program while integrating aerial and terrestrial capture directly into BIM coordination workflows. Managed a 35+ person team of FAA certified pilots and VDC specialists with 100% FAA compliance and zero safety incidents, and built the standardized training curriculum now adopted company-wide. Technology deployments under this role cut traditional topographic survey time by 250% and accelerated digital twin delivery across business units.

2017-2022

Hensel Phelps

Lead Virtual Design and Construction Engineer

Directed the VDC and BIM engineering function for a regional portfolio exceeding $750M in total project value, coordinating clash detection and multidisciplinary model integration across architects, engineers, and trade contractors. Oversaw processing of 500+ GB of laser scan data per month, driving 99% clash detection accuracy and an 80% reduction in design conflicts on major commercial builds. Established UAV data workflows and reality-capture practices that became internal benchmarks for construction verification and as-built documentation.

2013-2017

CGRS,

CAD Supervisor and Data Integration Specialist

Built the company’s first integrated UAS and VDC program from the ground up, turning drone-based capture and photogrammetry into a recognized service line that generated additional new revenue streams. Led a cross-functional team processing 1,000+ photogrammetric datasets in Pix4D and stood up SaaS platforms for drone data processing, reducing total processing time by 35%. Engineered the data bridges between aerial capture and the firm’s existing CAD/GIS workflows, enabling near real-time collaboration across project teams.
